I think the OD-3 is very under-rated. Everyone tends to lean towards the SD-1 but if you ever get a chance to try one in person; do.

I have a love/hate relationship with this type of building style. I can appreciate the skill it takes to build pedals in this style and the art form of it but give me a PCB any day of the week in terms of the time factor.

interesting setup requirements. Is every unit going to need it's own setup? or are the bulb (and other component) characteristics stable enough that you'll get to a stable general setting you can use as a starting point? Yes. Every unit will need some tweaking in this way to get it sounding right ....

Testing time.
