Insecure Delusion [Tool tribute] and Down With The System [SOAD tribute] will be hitting the stage together this May. After our sellout Valhalla show, it's really exciting to bring things a little further north. We've been working on a few new tracks (each one takes...months) so even if you've seen us before, it's worth coming again.

Friday, May 2nd: The Royal, Palmerston North
Tickets: https://www.undertheradar.co.nz/gig/947 ... Guests.utr

Saturday, May 3rd: The Cabana, Napier
Tickets: https://www.undertheradar.co.nz/gig/946 ... o-Tool.utr

I look forward to seeing some of you GCs there - please come up and say hello.

Something, something is warmer than something else something..

Nothing quite like a Maynard metaphor. On a side note the guitar sound on Undertow is so damn good!

Supposedly

Aenima is their best album but Undertow is my favourite, if that makes sense.

Fair enough! Hard to nail down a favourite these days, Aenima would've had that crown for a long time. But lately Lateralus and 10,000 Days have been getting a lot of play!

To be honest they haven't put a foot wrong for me every record is incredible. Amazing band, and still probably still the best live gig I've ever seen.

Lucky enough to have seen them 3 times.

I’ve seen them 4 or 5 times and they progressively got worse due to venue more than anything. I saw them CHCH Town Hall for the Aenima tour. Loved it so much we drove overnight to catch the ferry and got to Ticketek in Wellington and scored the last 4 tix to the Town Hall show that night. People behind us in the line were pissed, be we’d earned it. Saw them on another couple of tours and they were playing big sports arenas by then with crappy sound.

I'm a big Aenima fan, with Lateralus close behind.
I don't really like their latest album. Don't get me wrong, the production is great, but the songs don't do anything for me. Maynard just slapped together some vocals over a weekend, the guitars sound thin and anemic, and the songs themselves just lack emotion and climactic build ups that the band once was so good at.

If it helps anyone decide to come and see us, the only album we don’t play anything from [yet] is Fear Innoculum. Ænima features heavily, along with at least one track from every album or EP.

Quick update! We've sold about half the tickets for both shows, which are still over a month away - quicker sales than the sold-out Valhalla show! I'd get in quick if I were you.

We're also working on more tracks, and hoping to debut at least one (probably two) for these shows.

Cheeky bump. Would love to meet any NZGers who can make it along, let me know and we can have a beer beforehand.
