THE MARS VOLTA - June 26th
THE MARS VOLTA - Auckland, June 26th. Logan Campbell centre.
Anyone planning on going? would be a cool road [er.. plane..] trip up! Exciting to see them as I've missed them a few times now.

Go on, treat yourself..
Do it dude, you know you want to.
Seriously, shit happens every day, but seeing one of the bands you'd like to see live, that doesnt..

Dunno about Frusciante, his involvement is mainly in the studio only these days. But it would be a nice suprise to see him.
No idea who else is playing. But I wouldn't be going to see the opening act for T.M.V
Tix are $88.20 at ticketek

Has he played live with them?! It'd be great to see that!Khann wrote:Is John (Frusciante) going to be with them? If so, I'm sold!
I thought he just played that solo on that song in the second album or something
I couldn't imagine them having two guitarists live, that guitarist guy seems to be all about HIM HIM HIM

Re: THE MARS VOLTA - June 26th
Frusciante did a lot of the playing on Frances the Mute [aswell as Omar obviously] However Paul Hinojos now plays second guitar for them live aswell as being their sound manipulator [He's the cousin of their original Sound manipulator, Jeremy Ward who died of a Heroin overdose just before Deloused came out...]
Frusciante has played with them live a lot as he's good mates with Omar, and RHCP and TMV have done a couple of big tours together. Remember that Flea played all the bass on the Deloused too [apart from standup bass on televators...]

It appears to be the same night as Children Of Bodom, so I'd say I won't be there.
