Parachute Festival 2010

Post by DarcyPerry »

Hey Men & Women! I'm at Parachute Festival 2010! Darcy Perry All Stars performing with special guest gospel singer from Chicago, Sista Jacqui. Saturday, 2:20pm on the Deluxe Stage.

Parachute Festival is the largest music festival in the Southern Hemisphere.

This year over 160 local and international bands fill Hamilton’s Mystery Creek Events Centre with everything from hardcore to hip hop, electronica to alt-country, and plenty in between. Held over Auckland anniversary weekend, the Festival features the heavyweights of Christian music across six stages.

The drug and alcohol free four-day event offers a wide range of entertainment alongside the rock n’ roll – including amusement rides, seminars, water slide, skate park, and shopping.

The dates for Parachute 2010, the 20th Birthday Extravaganza are 29 Jan – 1 Feb.

Last time I went, the event was still in Matamata a few years ago... Mystery Creek must be pretty cool... it was always a great time and cool atmosphere, just too far from Christchurch :|
