I've just been given a ticket. Is anyone going from Hamilton?

Guitar being soundchecked now. Sounds like Malcolm's rig. Can hear it clear as day from my house.

Now they are doing Angus' amp. Much gainier, but still with a nice chime to it. Two awesome guitar sounds.

OK... I can hear Shihad playing "The General Electric" from my house right now. Must be loud.

Re: AC/DC Roll call!
Yes it was loud. glad i took earplugs.
ok that was freakin awesome. It sounded fantastic, with clear a clear sound mix for both shihad and ac/dc.
Have to say there was some brilliant bigscreen camera work. All high definition screens with many nice close shots of Angus fingers doing their thing.

AFK.

I was at the Thursday show in Welly! Because I got up close early to watch the show I was real close for ACDC! Best 2hours of my life!

No man, it's cool. I love having that kind of gig experience, and I love it when others do to.SammyD wrote:I was at the Thursday show in Welly! Because I got up close early to watch the show I was real close for ACDC! Best 2hours of my life!

Re: AC/DC Roll call!
I'd rate the show fourth behind PJ, TCV an Maiden in the last year, but better than Tool.
All the things you'd expect from an ACDC show and some you possibly wouldn't. AMAZING sound quality and visuals. Shame about the tired old songs that don't seem much more exciting in person. Sorry fanboys, I just wasn't feeling it. Perhaps beer and a ridiculous haircut would have helped
Brian's voice sounded super ragged about half way through. I thought he was in danger of killing it, but he came right later. Some of Angus's solos were rough as guts in patches. Other patches seemed to be massive Page-rips. I thought he was going to break into Heartbreaker at one point and Black Dog at another The whole rhythm section was on fire. They never put a foot wrong and the excellent mix was good enough to tell if they had.
I said 7.5/10 last night, but I might drop that to an even 7/10 today.
Shihad were really good and got a great crowd reaction. The Checks did pretty well too, although looked like scared little ants on the huge stage
