I don't mind missing out on nuclear incineration. Not a good way for him to treat fans, IMO.

Pretty steep to start off with
And doubling his fee ? Was he only expecting a crowd of ten
I'm listening to An Evening with JP and JR now thinking ... what a cock

Having only checked out about four utube clips I can't see what his appeal is, sterile tone, boring phrasing, still, I've made misjudgements before..

That's outrageous! It's like BG doubling the number of Kilkennys it takes to get him to appear at a gearfest.

If MAB is 5 times cheaper, can't he come back for a proper masterclass?
Or, You could have a get on the piss with Lemmy clinic, that would only cost you 100 bottles of whiskey.

Point is, that it doesn't have be some virtuoso. I'd pay good money to hear in person what famous musicians have to say about creating music, their equipment, touring, candid discussion on sex, drugs and rock'nroll etc.

Lemmy may not be as inclined to toe the company line though. what if he started talking (favourably) about ibanez?

He would be a laugh for sure. He is said to be a very interesting intelligent guy, going by what people said who met him in Auckland during the '90s.rocklander wrote:Aquila Rosso wrote:If MAB is 5 times cheaper, can't he come back for a proper masterclass?

I thought he used to play a Rickenbacker Bass? Not too sure what he uses these days. Afternoon intensive Q&A tutorial/workshop with Lemmy would be brilliant and he could crank up his Marshall too.
Re: JOHN PETRUCCI CLINIC - not happening :-/
How much was Paul Gilbert in NZ and how much was the final figure JP was asking? I'm just trying to work out how overpriced JP is since I see PG as at least an equivilent when it comes to clinic quality. Geniunely curious.
Sucks coz I'm a DT fan but first their asking for the Meet and Greet and now this... makes me sad, especially after watching some Heavy Metal documentaries recently showing how bigger bands like Pantera were waaayyy more mellow with meetings fans and didnt try and rape their wallets in the process.
Is DT becoming the Lars Ulrich of the prog world?

I don't know how much PG was, and I'm not really at liberty to disclose JP's fee...slapnutz wrote:How much was Paul Gilbert in NZ and how much was the final figure JP was asking?
