Unfortunately I just heard that I have work-related duties at Tiger Translate. However if the timing works I'll definitely get along to this gig beforehand.

...so if you folks know anything about set times post up and I'll check sat arvo.

The warriors are playing at home with Midnight Youth performing after the game. Might be a hard call to make it to the blues fest. :P

Why only the 15 min sets? thats one solo for you ???

+1 Great night ,be good to see some pics.Darcy was all class, during his set he got Robin (Cereal Killer) to jam on "Treat her right" and DC holdin down the rhythm guitar duties for most of the night in the Blue notes house band. BG had those smokey, bourbon soaked vocal tones, excellent as usual.
another highlight was Stray Falcon adding his rock flavourings during his set,i even met Aquillo Rosso there as well.
also enjoyed the set by the Los Diablos front man Phil Roberts, very clean and tight guitar playing.
looking forward to making it to more Blues gigs this year.cheers

AR was pretty wasted
BG was more wasted I think :P
Great meeting Critter and Falcon.
Started off a bit boring with the floor in front of the stage resembling a wedding reception, but once people got liqoured and/or started enjoying the music, it turned into a really good night. A very high standard of blues. Darcy rocked the place at the end of the night. Well worth the cab fare. Thanks ABC.

On behalf of the Auckland Blues Club, thank you to all of those guys who participated in, and attended, our showcase gig last Saturday night.
From the club's point of the view, the gig went very well and was a great way to launch the club.

The feedback we received on the night from the punters was all extremely positive.

I must make special mention of the Blue Notes... Ian on Drums, Steve on Bass and Dave on Guitar.
I thought they did a fantastic job, without a huge amount of lead up time.

To continue to expand and put on more events like the last show, we need to grow the club’s membership.
I would strongly encourage you, and your band members, family and friends to join the club as members.
So, go to the web site, and download the membership form.

Keep and eye on the web site and the newsletter for news on up-coming events, and remember... this is your club, so please let know if you have any comments of suggestions, or would just like to help out in any way.
