In the last few weeks Tool have become a firm favourite for me. Would love to see them live.

Selling out 2 nights at Vector is a bit different to touring 2000 seat venues in the late 90s, or ~5000 seats in early 2000s (that 2002 tool gig at the north shore event centre has to be the worst gig I’ve been to).
Other than those tours have they been here outside a couple of big day outs?
Yeah good point. But to not consider Wellington is a bit odd.
They are older now, and less traveling is better. Maybe they want to spend time with their mate Serj too!

The only bands that do Wellington these days are the ones that can fill the stadium or the ones that can only fill San Fran/Valhalla.
Generalising I know, but there is no 10-15k capacity venues which is apparently the sweet spot.

Yep, you wellingtonians need to start petitioning Peter Jackson, umm I mean your new mayor, to build you a 10000 seat venue. Also good for basketball, boxing and Disney on ice.

A venue in Wellington has been on the cards for a while. Lester was such a shit mayor; he just sat on his hands and couldn't make up his mind up on anything.

Just picked up 2 tickets for the 29th. I don't think the missus is too keen so think I'll take my mate who's always skint but he's a huge Tool (fan).

Wow racist. The biggest group blocking any spending in any council are the very right, very white citizens and ratepayer groups voted in by the elderly determined to stop any money being spent on anything so their rates can stay the same as they were when Muldoon ran the country.

Sorry it may come across like that, but from what i saw Justin was very concious of what they wanted to the point of deferring to them over names of streets etc. He was also the one that got rid of fireworks for everything but one event. Jumps back off soapbox before this goes too far..
