Sundown Amp covers

Post by The Scarecrow »

I know most of us will have heard of, or purchased from Dave before, but have to put it out there that he's an absolute legend to deal with.

I've just had him make me a new 4x12 cover which he was able to to turn around and have posted out late last week, arrived today - less than 4 business days. Quality workmanship and incredibly easy to communicate back and forth with. 10/10.

I will second that. A few years back I had Dave make a custom cover for my Laney Ironheart 30 watt combo, perfectly dimensioned based on my measurements, including cutouts for the weird corner handles. Beautifully made and turned around very quickly.

When I acquired my cab, it had a Sundown cover that Craig/Kloppsta had commissioned when he bought it. I contacted Dave about doing a matching one for the head and despite not being the one who ordered it he gave discount for 'repeat business' which I thought was pretty solid considering I wasn't the original buyer. Only reason I ended up getting this new one was because the original one's internal lining had started to deteriorate like all foam-based material eventually does... the rest of it was still looking about 8/10 for 10+ years old, so solid workmanship again.

Me too - countless covers from him. All perfect fit.

Just wanted to add my testimonial here - I got in touch with Dave on Saturday evening, and had 2 amp covers in my hands on the Wednesday! And that was after a few different emails confirming measurements etc.

So impressed with pricing, service, and the quality!
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.
