and the irony in that statement is they are playing on the Long Beach bridge in L.A. in the video for that song.

anyways. I'm a fan of green day, sommerset and the bleeders.

simple plan are too pop. they are like that little wench Avril Lav*however its spelt*. she thinks she's some rock chick with attitude, but she's just another wannabe pop princess.

rant over.
I'm with you there Darkness. Avril's definitely right out of the manufactured-for-commerical-radio factory. She's kind of cute though, in a my-eye-are-so-made-up-i-look-like-a-cadaver kinda way. I could probably watch one of her videos on mute  .

Sommerset and The Bleeders are good, more traditional "punk-rock", to use the term freely.

I don't know wether she's that cute even. she looks too much like a little girl.

but yeah they are closer to original punk. pretty damn good live too.

Simple Plan were great, blink182 meets good charlotte with solo's.
Damn, didn't know they were opening, would have like to go to see them :(
Ahhh, I actually read the original post wrong it seems... I was only referring to wanting to see Sommerset, not Simple Plan

I really want to see if the guitarist plays live the way he is actually capable of, or if he stays in the 3-note-solo-punk-mode that is expected...

EDIT: well nevermind, just checked out their website, and apparently he has left the band and didn't play at the Green Day show anyway :( Bugger....
