I just got my pre-ordered copy in the mail tis afternoon, found it upon returning this evening. Came with a little note from Devin, which was pretty cool, although brief. Devin's been somewhat of an idol of mine for quite a while now, many years, so to come 'home' and find a package with the new album and a note with my name in his handwriting was a bit surreal, but well humbling. This is a pretty special album, to a say the least. It's quite different to a lot of his other work, but obviously similar. I recommend giving it a fair amount of time if you're used to his nuttier side, but if you're new to Devin's work, then just put on headphones and let this one drift by peacefully while you sit back with a mug of green tea and clear thoughts in your mind.
