Haha awesome dude, you were close to being funny just then. A little more practice and you'll get the hang of it

And the same goes for The Electric Confectionaires ( Some idiot said that their lead guitar player was the next Jimi Hendrix) and Die Die Die and that whimpy band called Little Pictures with that song about a small house ( I don't remember the title ). This is my good advice and good deed for the day. Anyone who disagrees with me has very poor taste.

How can you compare the checks with those 3 bands?
If ur trolling it's not funny.
Fuck I hate obnoxious elitist metalheads who think anything that isn't in drop C doesn't deserve to be called music.

Re: The Checks
Same I just jizzed because I heard the insanely creative and original guitar solos peppered throughout Alice by The Moon. seriously I am listening to it right now and the guitar playing is perfect.Capt. Black wrote:Just heard a good guitar solo.... 'scuse me while I go change pants.
He can really go at it live to, sometimes he plays the same solo as on the recording, but sometimes he'll just go off on a tangent and do some wicked blues dripping solo with the most out there phrasing I've ever heard... in a good way.

Re: The Checks
na played a couple I hadn't heard before, but apparently they were old ones that they never got round to recording that predate the first album. Super tight though and they did some extended jams on some of the songs which was coolvoodoochild wrote:Did they play much new stuff thats not on the Hunting/Moon records? Re: The Checks
I don't love The Checks, but I don't hate them either. I know one of the guitarists and they all seem like a bunch of nice blokes who can play well together. Respect for that, if anything.

Re: The Checks
I met them a few years back at Blues & Roots festival. I introduced them to Midge Marsden... not sure if they knew who he was though!
I enjoyed their set. A great live band.
