Reading a couple of good books at the moment. Really enjoying the Strat Chronicles, and also Stranded in Paradise.

If you can, find a copy of:

Rock Hardware ISBN 1-871547-35-0

Its a great book to read and reference. Its basically 40 years of Rock Instrumentation - the great instrumnts - how they are used and how they shape the sound of popular music.

Its one of the two books I always keep on my desk, the other being:

The New Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock and Roll ISBN 0-684-81044-1

That's a history of the biographical and discographical information of over 1800 artists, with great info and insight into each.
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

I'm reading "TotallyGuitar" by TonyBacon/Dave Hunter.

It's A2 sized, and shiny, and is much more interesting than 'Contempary Linear Algebra'.

I'm a guitar traitor.... I'm reading Clarkson on Cars, I like my opinions, opinionated.

I'm also reading The Road Code for Motorcyclists, a right riveting read. I never got my bike license transferred over when I came here, I've lost my UK license so its easier to resit the test. I've got a yearning for another bike :D

yep its Jeremy Clarkson. A collection of the columns he's written for 'Performance Car' magazine over the years. Some of them are a bit dated as it starts in the 80's but very funny anyway :D an ideal toilet read ;)

Did you transfer your UK car license in NZ without grief? (a straight swap?)
