M-audio budget studio monitors

Don't bother with them. Specifically the BX range.

I've been though two pairs (the first pair failed) in three weeks. First exchange was for a Mackie pair. They have an inherent hiss, so also took them back. Replacement M-audio started distorting last week - just the master speaker, the satellite is still clear. Rubbish product.

Looks like I'm going to spill some more cash and try Presonus?

My Eris 4.5s get a ton of use, mostly music listening but they've been flawless!

i had two sets of bx5's and one of the 8's.Never skipped a beat.YYMv i guess?
they were independant though,not master/satellite ones.
