Hey guys - looking for some help again. Im kind of gassing for this new V they've put out - a 'worn finish' 3 pickup jobby.
The only thing i dislike about it is that the worn finish looks like some P-smoker at Gibson has been a bit too liberal with the belt sander application
Is there any kind of black paint that you might be able to rub into the wood to make it a bit more uniform looking or would a complete re-finish be in order? Maybe i'll just learn to love it.
Also, does anyone make a decent uncovered humbucker-sized p90?
Yeah looks like said Gibson employee might have already applied the urineum treatment to the pickups at least. I do like the fading, would just seem a bit wierd to open up a brand new guitar like that. Anyway I think I would make a pretty sweet live guitar. Very \m/ Metal \m/ A p90 for some bluesy stuff in the neck perhaps.

I've been mad gassing for a Gibson Flying V for quite a while now! what do they feel like to play? I love my SG's, didnt like the explorer.
Someone give me a black flying V, hahah please.
I find mine pretty comfortable, even sitting down, though mine is the stupid goth model with no fret markers on the front - perhaps I need to stop looking at the fretboard
Its not enough that we succeed, we still need others to fail
are you kidding I LOVE the goth series, I was going to get a Goth SG but couldnt find one, so got the Voodoo instead! hahah if you ever want to sell, I'll try and get some cash together!
yeah they look cool. I'm after a Gibby one if I was going to get one though. I'm sure the year I got the voodoo was the year they stopped making the Goths (and they stopped making the voodoo the next year! hahah I love mine)
I dunno why I'm GAS'ing, I should be getting the Ash Radian soon! *swoon*

Yeah that guitar is pretty sweet but I don't think you should re finish it having the non-glossy finish on the neck makes it so much easier to play
I smell Bacon, I smell Pork, look out little piggy, I have a fork!
