Nice. Well, next time you're here, I can make those mods I outlined...

I don't know what Ants has done to me, but this thread is now giving me strange warm feelings.

Re: Offset chat
Current one under construction;
I'm probably going to go full 1990's and put a couple of hotrails into it. The colour is pretty close to Dakota red. It's made out of leftover bits so I'm hoping to invest as little as possible into it!1935 Martin D-45, 1942 Gibson Southern Jumbo,1950 Fender Broadcaster, 1954 Fender Strat, 1958 Gibson Moderne prototype, 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard.

He may have figured out how to control your bladder remotely. Is the floor wet under you?
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll spend thousands on fishing equipment he'll use for a bit, then get bored and move onto something else.

Re: Offset chat
Butcher block Mustang close to finished. This has been made from shitty materials and leftover bits from the parts bin. If it ends up being functional, that's cool, but as it stands it makes a pretty cool wall hanger.

Re: Offset chat
Mate - looks fucking excellent!! Be a shame to just see it as a wall hanger though! Loving those block inlays. Is there much in the way of break angle over the back off the saddles?

Re: Offset chat
No because I used a shitty Chinese bridge/trem assembly. If I pull it apart and bolster the 'cigar' with some washers I'll be able to achieve good break angle but as I've said for now, wall hanger. Need some cheap pickups first!Lostininverness wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 1:57 pmMate - looks fucking excellent!! Be a shame to just see it as a wall hanger though! Loving those block inlays. Re: Offset chat
Kev speaks…actually, he seems to be popping up in a quite a few corners of the web these days.

I’ve never had a tuning issue with my Jag (standard bridge and saddles) even when it had ‘stang saddles fitted. I thought it was obvious that the bridge had to pivot on the bridge legs to wobble properly in tune
Does the Mastery lock it down or summin’?

Re: Offset chat
Yeah, Mastery's a non-rocking bridge. Rocking Mustang/American Professional JM bridge works perfectly fine for me.clubhouse wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 9:01 am Kev speaks…actually, he seems to be popping up in a quite a few corners of the web these days.

Re: Offset chat
I inherited a Jaguar, MIM, sonic blue, with humbuckers.
Heavy little mother but quite fun to play.
Do I swap out the humbuckers for HB sized single coils? Not sure what's meant to be done to make it classic.
