Re: Offset chat
Anyone tried one of those Goldo trems? the LT1 & 2 are licensed from Duesenberg and very affordable... https://www.goeldo.de/en/produktuebersi ... -topmount/

Re: Offset chat
Bought one, didn't fit my guitar, swapped it with Bg's Bigsby. I think he actually installed the Goldo on one of his guitars.jeremyb wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 9:16 am Anyone tried one of those Goldo trems? the LT1 & 2 are licensed from Duesenberg and very affordable... https://www.goeldo.de/en/produktuebersi ... -topmount/

Also bound neck and dots is not how o like a JM
Either bound and block or clay dots with no binding
Thst series is interesting only in that fender gave a commemorative plate added to the first 46 models of each avri run that. Otherwise it’s an avri JM spec wise.

Re: Offset chat
I have no such qualms with the bound dotted neck, looks great to me. The crazy price for a fancy neck plate though... that's a different story.

Re: Offset chat
Yeh you see to me that just looks wrong. Something about the Perl inlay … just too used to looking at muted clay etc
His mustang doesn’t tickle your fancy ? Gateway vintage offset ?

Re: Offset chat
Mustangs, anyone's, don't generally tickle my pickle. Also, (one of?) the main interest in offsets is to try out the JM wiggle stick. However, prices of offsets are pretty eye watering these days, relatively speaking.StrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 12:06 pmYeh you see to me that just looks wrong. Yeh I just reviewed reverb. Sickening ! MIJ jms asking 2.5k ?? When did that happen….
- used vintera (or new) … wait for a local one or try gumtree in Aussie
- build something
- hold out for a 60s lacquer mexi at a good price on reverb (but you’re unlikely realistically to land something for under $2k )

I'm certainly leaning heavily down that road. Maybe later next year.StrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 12:20 pmAgree re: wigglecodedog wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 12:14 pmMustangs, anyone's, don't generally tickle my pickle. Re: Offset chat
Bound and dots is best! My Jazzmaster says so.
I like bound and blocks on some colours – LPB Jag with blocks is perfect. I’ve gone off big inlays on most guitars though – dots almost always look better, I think.

Retail here (if in stock still?) around the $2k mark
