Y'know, thinking about it - for the price I'd have to pay for a nice LP, I could get a one-off guitar made by Ash, expressly for me. Why be just like 96 billion other people?

Ash, should I decide to get a new guitar (don't hold your breath), I've decided to see you first!! Of course, it will have to be primarily purple!!

yes but how do you know Ash will not simply take the easy way out? i.e. buy an epiphone, refinish the head and send you your new guitar 'lovingly hand-carved out of fine hardboard and MDF in the sweatshops of Asia'. It would be everything you asked for!!

I think Ash has better Ethics than that, I for one will be getting him to rebuild my Amp Head in walnut and also a 2x12 cab.

Lucky for you I have a tin of "primarily purple" woodstain, so you can see the wonderful woodgrain you so love in all its radiant glory
