Any Tremelo-No Experiences?

Post by dayl »

Has anyone used a tremelo-no?

I saw one on trade me that got me thinking about giving one a try seeing as Im always blocking my trems.

I'm a little bit hesitant as the mechanics look like they could maybe slip a little or are not very rigid ?

Cheers

I have one in my Reverend. Pin style. The pin does seem like it would break eventually so i reckon the clamp ones would be a better bet, if you can figure out which one you need. Otherwise I have had the pin version for about five years and mine hasn't broken yet. I have mine set to allow downward movement but not up, which is what I like. Means I can still use the whammy but don't have many of the issues of a floating trem. I would think if you were blocking completely there must be more practical solutions, but for what I use it for it's great. I do find I need to use pliers or at least a tea towel on my hands to really tighten up those little black things.

I use one in an iceman I replaced the trem in. Locked to downward only so I can also use a D-Tuner thingy on the top string. Works well when set up correctly in my experience.

Yup. Years ago.

Purchased one, had it shipped to my upcoming hotel in the US. Vendor advised that front desk refused delivery. Lady at front desk responsible for deliveries didn't agree. Discussion escalated. I ended up: having a finger wagged at me, was called cupcake, and eventually had stationery, including a stapler, thrown at me.....

I now stay at better quality hotels.

Never ended up getting the Tremelo-No.....
