Hi all. I need some assistance fixing my input jack. The input jack was loose in the first place and my son knocked it off when trying to insert the cable.. I don't know what these parts are called, but that's what is left. I might have lost a nut and a washer. Cheers.

It’s an input jack plate that’s broken

And yes, need another nut and washer

Sorry Tony, but I don't see it. Everything seems to be there in the photo.

If the screw holes are stripped, fill them with baking soda and wet it with a drop of superglue. Wait a minute or two, drill a pilot hole and carry on as you were.

Definitely looks like you can reassemble it. Often the jack will have two nuts (IB:JB) – one behind the jack plate as a spacer, and one on the front. Looks like the front one and its washer have gone missing, but you could just put the star washer you have behind the jack plate and use the nut on the front to put it back together. The socket will stick out a bit further, but probably no biggie until you can find another nut and washer.

Ha! I figured out - I thought the hole of the input jack had been cracked on the right, but it was a bit of carpet…..doh.

Defo need the outer washer and nut though

If you're inputting signal into there then you're doing it wrong. And yes a nut and washer have fallen off.

Sorry lol, I'm my own worst enemy, as I drop the same kind of bollock all the time.

But it's where you plug the cable 'in'?

And where the signal comes out…. And goes into the amp input or are you saying that’s an output?

And a guitar pedal has two inputs as you plug a cable into both the in and out? :P
