i just recently painted a hondo with mitre ten paint it said red metal flake but turned out a burgandy purple colur which looks ok.patience is the main thing though i kept applying coats minutes after the first and when i went to move it (shock hand prints every where).IMO if you painting a project gat for a experiment jump to it if you painting your main gat consider paying a extra buck to get it professionally done
