Radio Kexp is a Seattle based station. Occasionally the host their favorite bands to do a 20-30 minute live set
I've only checked out the Afghan Whigs and Pixies ones but can highly recommend from that small sample
Btw the AW guy has got the Firebird(?) freakin rocking.

They're supporting someone called Alt-Right in Auckland and Wellington in December.

Yeh i love the KEXP sets, they have some really interesting bands through.
I definitely liked the old cozy studio more than whatever new venue they went to though.

Yeah. Alt-Right were previously known as White Kids Born Into Privilge But Feeling Constantly Threatened. Fairly mixed reviews TBF but I thought "the soundscape for serial bed-wetters" was a harsh call

Snarly, that's brilliant! I've never heard of Pokey LaFarge. I love old time American music! Thank you.

I've done sound for Mr Pokey, he's amazing. In character constantly, all day long. Arrived at the gig in an impeccable white suit and white leather shoes. Just before sound check he nipped off to the bathroom to change out of his travelling whites. After the gig, straight back into them.

I don't mind either. Those dudes are good. Love it.
