Eclectic guitarist seeks people to make noise with (AKL)

Since I'm going to be living up here in Auckland I need to find some people to jam/start a band with. I'm mostly interested in playing music with a strong grove, heading in the direction of bluesy jazz but falling down drunk or possibly getting distracted by interesting noises before really getting there. At least a small amount of improvisation is a must (even though I'm a bit ropey at it).

Jim Campilongo
Medeski Martin and Wood (even though they don't actually have a guitarist most of the time)
John Scofield
Parliament/Funkadelic
James Brown
Herbie Hancock
oldish school rock 'n' roll ala John Fogerty
and (I'm not ashamed to say) the odd bit of country music.

I'd love to find someone who can play hammond and/or electric piano if at all possible and I may have a tame drummer to bring to the party (if it floats his boat that is). I'm equally comfortable with covers, originals, instrumentals or whatever.

My availability will be a bit patchy for a little while but I'd really like to eventually start getting together around once a fortnight.
