Support Acts wanted for North Island Tour

Touring band looking for a local support acts for the following places/dates:

Mangawhai - March 25th
Raglan - April 1st
Napier - April 2nd
Wellington - April 8th

We are a 5 piece band who play a summery mix of blues, country and reggae. Ready comparisons are with Jack Johnson and John Mayer. You'll fit the bill if you're local to the area and your music is compatible enough (obviously if you play metal, hard rock, punk or electronica it's not going to be ideal). Bands and soloists considered.

Cool, you got Old Man's Beard to open in Napier! We've played a few gigs with them. Great band, they should fit well with your style

Yeah considering the last minute nature of the request (i.e. we just forgot about support bands) we've been pretty fortunate to hook up with some very talented acts so far. Been cool listening to a lot of local talent during my search as well. Lot of shizen out there as well though.

Note to self though: never advertise on the Rockshop website for support acts. Even though I specifically wrote "if you play metal, hard rock, punk or electronica it's not going to be ideal", one of the first hits I got was from a duo that used backing tracks and specialised in classic rock covers of bands like Def Leppard.

I suppose I could have just said "rock" rather than "hard rock", but honestly, how the fark do you draw any similarities between Jack Johnson and Def Leppard? Both have the same amount of syllables? Both perform cellular respiration?

We could be keen for the wellington one if your other plans come to nothing. We played the Bristol room full of blues yesterday. They guys at Bodega could tell you about our style and suitibility. Were Called 'The Charcoal White' were blusy, funk rock.
