I remember watching that episode a night before going to Parachute about 7 years ago and it totally messed with my head the whole weekend. It's amazing.druz15 wrote:jeremyb wrote:I'm tempted to start a christian band, guaranteed audience, get to play to a huge crowd at parachute, living the dream!

Hahah, thanks guys...
And no I probably won't be forming a Christian metal band, though I'd be happy to have a jam with any of you Auckland folk once I'm up there.

Wanna play some blues?
I know a blues band looking for a guitar player who can sing lead vocals.

I'll try anything once, but to be honest with you, I'm much more of a rock player... not sure I would really know how to play pure blues!

Hi Ed, the answer to your question is, we do:
our Rock Shop ad reads thusly;
""Rhythm guitar wanted for recorded originals outfit (#2333)
Hi we have just completed an album (Big credits to Jordan (The Widget King)
at Roundhead Studios - Recording/Engineering - and Chris at Kog -
Mastering.
We are looking to fill out the live sound with a competent rhythm guitarist
not to afraid to play something different with rock groove and a lot of old
and modern feel all mixed up. Varying time signatures and lots of
interesting rhythms to work along with. Space for vocal and lead contribution here
also if you're up for it.
We are all experienced at varying aspects and to varying depths and its a
quality product. We are auditioning asap and would like to hear from
Aucklanders looking to do gigs in support of the album, and then get
started on album 2.
So - light us up - just bear in mind - a couple of us have been playing
together over 17 years - so if you are one of those people afraid of middle
aged dudes who can play - well, you've worked it out...
cheers Look forward to hearing from you.""
So... how about it >?
keen for a phone call and lets take it from there?
thanks Starkie
