I'm one... after the Bombay Hills, Auckland begins.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

There is no end to the anti-jafa sentiment.

Hey, if the country decides to quit Christchurch and level the place, there'd be a few more people heading off to live in Akl. It'll be huge, but still only the population of Namdaemun Market on a Sunday.

i worked out of Lyttelton harbour for most of my 12 years at sea. They don't mind Jaffas as long as they don't bring a Jaffa attitude with them. You need a rah rah, rugby bash heads together attitude down there :mental:

My 2c on the subject. Find the locals friendly without being your friend (if that makes sense) and post-quake Christchurch feels hurried, impatient and adversarial. Could never have imagined it ten years ago when it felt relaxed and friendly. Guess that's quake tensions for you.
