VOCALIST LOOKING FOR MUSICIANS/BAND

Post by JemT »

Hello, this is me: http://www.reverbnation.com/JemTupe

I am a Lead Vocalist and Lyricist (based in Lower Hutt, Wellington)
I am looking to form a band (covers and/or originals) with technically capable and dedicated musos that are 30 plus - No beginner band
you could be an established band looking for a vocalist or you could be an individual drummer/guitarist/musician looking for a band...

Can sing any genre, top faves are Rock, Blues, Funk and Jazz. Keen on original material and looking for muso's to be 'my band'
Would love to have a Rock Blues band, and also keen on jamming (vocally) with some Jazz muso's. Always interested in trying out new stuff, expanding my range and having a fecking great time doing it.

If interested please email me a link to your demo/recordings

Cheers!
Jem

Hey all, please feel free to say hi and introduce yourself!
The songs on my reverb page were recorded with my previous band FIIN. Very low budget so excuse the 'rawness' but was fun nevertheless.

I am keen to get out and about gigging with a view to more original material and recording time. I have my own practice room at my home with basic gear to plug in and play with. I also have a good little bunch of followers who are keen to support gigs whenever possible.

I love being a frontwoman and have no probs leading a band.

COME ON GUYS - who wants to make some fecking awesome music?!
:mental:

Hey welcome to the board Jem. I wish I could help you out, but I'd definitely fall into the beginner category despite being well over 30. :)

Hope you stick around for a bit.

The world needs more 'rock chicks'. Well ours could.

There's a few fellas from Welly in here so hang about and see who you meet.

Thanks callingcard, the stuff I have is a bit dated and I feel (forgive me here for blowing my trumpet) I am actually better than what is represented there - vocally.
I hope they arent quiet because they think its all a bit...blah...!

Well, I (bass) am not saying anything because it's not what I'm into right now.

You have a good voice though, and I was thinking yesterday about how wonderful and different it is to hear music in here with an actual singer, not some guy in the band that "does ok" at vocals.
"Vince, have you ever tried playing an expensive bass?" - Polarbear.
"And isn't that the finest acoustic bass guitar feedback solo you've ever heard?" - Billy Moose.

Hello willow13, I don't really have anything at my fingertips but do have some friends with recording gear/abilities. Depends on what's needed I suppose. Will PM you for a chat/more details.
