best thing to do is get together anyway, you might have a lot of common ground, being in a band is sometimes about comprimises. Obviously no-one ever comprimises with :
1/ The singer
2/ The drummer
everything else is good

Emo is the latest craze where you get up early in the morning to take photos of yourself in dark sad poses toi post on your myspace account, then after that taking a general poppunk riff and adding really self hating emotional lyrics. Then getting your mum to drop you off outside the metro in Auckland so you can sit on the stairs all day with all your mates discussing the best hairspray and eyeliner :p
