My First Attempt to Record
Hey there
Not the greatest but my first go at recording.
A wee noodling.

Cool, as someone who just *cannot* make a slide sound in tune, I am envious!

It may not be the greatest recording ever, but you can clearly hear how good your slide technique is.

The slide is strong in this one.
Yea, just a tad on the loud side, but cool for first attempt!

Turn the pre-amp gain down... a lot.
Difference is an accident of birth and it should therefore never be the source of hatred or conflict

The musical gear used:slash-ed wrote:That's cool! What's your recording setup like?
52 RI tele into Cdog made Tweedy Tourist pedal into Deluxe clone. (Clone at low volume....using Tweedy to get the 5E3 drive)
A slide.
Recording gear:
The mic that's attached to my webcam.....into Audacity.

Hung the mic off the doorknob of PC cupboard in front of the amp speaker.
A lot of that over loaded sound actually is the sound of the amp. I had the volume sensitivity of the mic down.
I like my gaininess!!

Good stuff! You're in Porirua, from memory? If you need a hand I'm happy to come over with a mic and an interface to help with recording
(which also allows me to perve at your gear
)
