Just listened to offender's clip... nice guitar sound from the Vox dude! I could never figure out how to get a good "mildly overdriven" tone. Lead tone could be a bit more raunchy.

As an update, I should have mine up tonight, just need to mix it. Sounds pretty average.

I've basically given up on recording my entry, my PC is just too old and crappy I think. Downloaded and installed Audacity OK, but every time I try to actually record summat my PC locks up after about ten seconds.

Yeah I really do need to make an effort to get more of a squeal into it. The intro to that clip was cocked up but the rest went ok. The tone is basically the AC30TB model with the gain & pre-amp volume not too high, the bass about 6 and the mids & treb about 7 and 9. I think on this model the gain acts like the pre-amp volume, the volume acts like the master as the real AC30TB doesn't have a gain.

These things are great to do, I would have put my hand up for the blues collab. thing but this came up at the same time.

Some mp3 players have a line-in/ built-in mic if thats of any use? (Ive used my SO's mp3 player, muvo N200, to do a bit of recording on occasion when I don't want to drag the microphone from the PC out)
