today I was listening to Freddie Hubbard play over a 16 bar form that looked a bit like this:

to be honest I can't hear much on the first two verses(?)I can't hear much as in guitar, but a lot of keys.
the solo Is loud and proud...I like the rhythmic approach... each phrase is later than I expect. Bends are good.
on the last vocal I like the Bmj / Eb minor picking.

i`m such an idiot i didnt look at the chart, i just downloaded the tunes. the gat and keys are interlocked i can hear the gat tho, just rythem trying to leave room for the comming horns!!!!

like the Sgt's take though I am having a real hard time hearing the gat's in the verse..it's all keys on these speakers

I think that line over the third bit of the third chorus is my favourite too. ^_^

I kept it very low-key over the verses deliberately; the song didn't seem to want anything more, so I just tried to stick with the main groove, but using 13th chords.
