Our live demo recording has been reviewed by an independant music magazine:
http://lomaxlives.blogspot.com/2007/04/mechano.html

We were also included on a small London radiostation's online mix tape. Our song Hyacinth Girl was included. You can download the tape here:

Other nz bands on that compilation include Die! Die! Die!, Cut Off Your hands (shaky hands) and So So Modern

Here's a picture of us recording our little live three track demo

I agree, love it. Bass sounds killer, great guitar sound. Oh, the robot voice just came in! I love that!! What even is that? Very tasteful minimal guitar, I'd go see this band and clap between songs.

thanks you two, good show :)

There's a bit of vocoder in there, but the robot sounds are mainly the bass player with a bunch of pedals (overdrives and octavers I believe)

wish us luck for our long drive to dunedin tomorrow!

No and I apologies 'cos I told about 10 people to go and some of them did.
I was attending to ill Wife and 2 small(ish) children. Got to see most of the league though. Hopeless.
I wanted to see the Ricky's too.

Recordings are good for the "older" folks too.I for one can't be bothered downloading tracks, it' takes years for one tune, and I do not like the sound on computer anyway.

but good you guys out doing it, all power to you and I hope it was a good trip.
