Troll Metal, haha.

Post by slash-ed »

Here's some metal stuff sopacharga and I have been working on together with some other guys down here. I recorded and put some drum tracks to it this morning since I've got nothing else to do.

Working titles include March of the Trolls, Godzilla Stomp and various other angry monster names...

As always I'd love to hear the forum's opinion on this kinda thing...

I'm still not too sure about the Trem-ed intro..... :?

And the chug-ie bit right at the end still has a matching harmonised piece, which I'm yet to write.....

The image that comes to mind is more of Army of Darkness than Godzilla or Trolls :) Needs some "dirty" sounding drums IMO - But what do I know, I listen to Christian Rock :) Nice tho.

Don't know if the link works because I'm on cheap dial up but the band Finntroll definately play troll metal.
I've been trying to justify you, in the end I will just defy you.

Thankiew, Mr Tsuken. I actually decided the first part of that sounds far too similiar to something one of my mates wrote for his power metal band... so I added some extra stuff to it ;) Sounds a bit more busy now, and hopefully more intimidating on the whole :D :D I'll see if I can be arsed rendering it to mp3 at some point.

Trollhammer
Among shadows rides a beast.
Like a black tree.
Grips tightly on a mighty hammer.
Out for weak Christian blood.
TROLLHAMMER! x2
The Trollhammer sweeps again!
Cut down, brother again!
Hear the last shout -
The Trollhammer is here!
TROLLHAMMER!

He is not a human.
Not fragile and weak like you.
You will be powerless.
No eyes see your end.
TROLLHAMMER! x2
Since the darkness overtook.
It is afraid of the frost's cold fingers.
That take hold and kill.
Under the coming winter night.
TROLLHAMMER!x4

Just for the record, the Norse were unimpressed when the Christians arrived and tried to convert them by the sword. Little did they know that one day they would be conquered by Mickey Mouse and McDonalds!

Same song but the video will take your mind off the growling.
