Beach Boys as lullaby a la Tsuken ;-)

Ok, confusing the subject line may be, so explanation is probably in order.

I hum or sing (depending on my mood) Surfer Girl by The Beach Boys to Catherine when I put her to bed at night. I decided the other day to make an instrumental arrangment for guitar and record it. Herewith the result:

I had fun working out what harmonies to play, and making sure I kept it all nice - though (I hope) not bland - and not going stupid with flashy samick. (Unusual for me, I'll admit

That's very cool

Beach Boys songs always call for a lot of harmonies and I really like all that layering going on there.

Can't help thinking it would fit nicely into the prom scene in Back To The Future

My humming of it to Cate is the lullaby; my guitar version was simply prompted by said humming/use.

I guess the thread's subject line is confusicating, that way.

I'm very chuffed.

Catherine tends to sing a lot; brief phrases laaa laaa laa laaa and so forth.

My wife realised this morning that as Catherine was lying in her cot singing, she was actually singing Surfer Girl

I think that's way cool. Anyway - as you were.
