Ok, so Here are some short samples to compare a stock Ibanez TS7 Tubescreamer (TS9 mode) versus the "alleged" Clay Jones Spec TS circuit. I don't have the Burr Brown Op-amp yet, I used a TL072...
Same guitar, amp recording levels etc (recorded using a small tube amp set to clean, an Audio Technica ATM650 mike, straight into the computer) samples edited lengthwise for clarity.

They're very different from each other. Used like that (into a clean amp) with those settings, I like the sound of the TS7 better. I wonder how each of them would do boosting an overdriven amp; I think the "Clay Jones" one would probably give more bite, but the TS7 be rounder and perhaps warmer. Maybe Can't really know without hearing them used in that way of course.
