advice for a combo

I find a lil break up grind to work well for bass

a mate uses a jcm800 100 wat single channel head, sounds excellent

Gotta say Ampeg SVTs have always sounded the nicest to me. I guess a GK or mesa bass head is cool if you want crystal clear pop music sort of bass tone. But for rock you gotta sport the SVT

That Ashdown belongs to an acquaintance of mine, Sandy of Sanderson Guitars in Te Kauwhata. It appears he's had a bad motorcycle accident and is selling off everything. I just bought some tools from him. He has some nice lefty Jazz basses too.
