Enjoyed todays lesson, quarter, half, and whole notes mixed up into exercises and a song, gotta stop myself thinking as I screw up, just need to relax and go with it... also some decent recent content, haven't listened to these guys before but kinda dig the groove!

Ian the other guy on the video with Scott is the one taking the beginners course I'm doing, he's super enthusiastic so great as a teacher!

How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me...

Been a bit slack on the lessons front, went from every second day to once a week for various reasons... back on the wagon again and I picked up the little Zoom B1 Four in the Rubber Monkey sale last week, using it into my interface as a preamp and effects unit for playing along with the bass lessons, its also kinda cool in that it has a built in drummer and looper and the output also accepts headphones so great for quiet practice too, and its battery powered or you can use a standard 9V PSU.

As I said, you're the boss. My IT literacy is at the level where I think a screen dump involves a recycling bin.

I've been Jonesing lately for a short scale 5 string bass, but every time I do a gig with my Precision Lyte (MIJ), I just think wtf? Why would I want to change? Meanwhile my 72 Precision and 70s Jazz sit unused in my study.

Such a fanboy I know, but have a set of the Victor Wooten 45-90 DR Pure Blues on the way, should allow me to get the action a little lower on the bass too :-)

I'm bad enough switching between one scale length, but between long and short - my muscle memory gets shot to shite.
