don't know why you want bass w/ chorus
the '80s revival is not starting at your place then James? :)

cop Peter Hook, New Order promo video comp "Substance". the clip you want is "the Perfect Kiss"

also what about Talk Talk, man there is some lovely playing on those records.
Don Henley got Pino Palladino in on "New York Minute" that's way cool

I dig Bass wah so much I've taken to using it live in certain solos. when I get the Bass Balls pedal in line then it'll be look out, carnage no less.

I think you have to get a bass specific wah mind, I never tried a guitar one that was good for bass.
for auto wah cop RHCP "One Hot Minute" album
or Rose Royce "Car Wash".

In 1965 I tried a guitar fuzz box and a guitar wah for bass. They pretty much sucked a big orange turd. My opinion on using fx on bass hasn't altered much since then, except that these days the turd is purple...
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

Haha no! Which band? It's set to randomize my friends (which seems strangely redundant when you think about it).

I put my bass through a big muff pie pedal and it sounded quite funky.
Bass effects are definitely an acquired taste tho.
not everyone will like it

Def an acquired taste, i put mine thru all sorts of torture effects units to see "what its like" , most sound like shite. Only effect I don't mind on a bass is an octave pedal, or some slight distortion if worked nicely to give that sabbath riff sound

Hmmm my bass has been tried through a phase which didn't sound too bad, but I think my favourite was when it was played through a vibe... subtle but kinda filled up the sound gaps.

Still prefer to play it without effects though, leave the pedals for the guitars :)
