I have! I only bother posting if I've thought so much about it I've gone insane.
Problem is, the ashdown amp does sound great and would be the ideal but then again, bass is always DI'd so it may well be better to get another bass.

I can't believe I've turned into mr_sooty :(

or not.. maybe, what do you think? should they start a poll? or should they pole a star? what does that even mean, and will a star hold its resale if it's been poled?

get the ashdown.. the VU meter is the clincher.

The Ashdown DI' output is switchable to post preamp and EQ. So the amp will make a difference for sure.

Yeah +1 for VU meters 8)

:)

Most of us can relate to wanting more than one flavour of Gat in the stable. Will the new amp change your world? I heard the Trace Elliots were mean! (I know little of these things)

What ever makes you happy dude, what will give you the most joy vs the least regret.....

I dunno about the bass version, but I had an Ashdown with a VU meter and I pretty much never got to crank it enough that it moved more than a hair...

Didn't move a hair?

Hell if your bass doesn't blow your pubes into a mohawk, you need to turn that sucker up. I say turn it up, son!
