Bass guitar through a PA speaker?

well actually...prob was i just couldnt get any level out of the helix and that lead to me pushing the pa to hard.I mean obvs bass into a PA isnt a problem because every gig bigger than the local bistro has some reinforcement happening,but i wouldnt use it as a solution for more than limping thru a practice that HAD to happen.ymmv an all that, jimi most likely isnt in a band with a drummer who breaks two sticks every practice.
