I have been finding it relatively enjoyable, so I am looking to get a practice amp in the $4 - 600 range.

What would you recommend?
This is by far the best new gear excuse I've heard in a while...

PM Oleg. Don't know what he's asking but he has your amp.

SWR LA15 100w 1x15. Great for practice and loud enough for small gigs, if you have a tame drummer.

No. When I do play amplified, I've just gone straight to a desk. There's been the odd time when I've gigged with a drummer and my sound ends up lost, on stage, as a pitch colour of the kick, no cut through...wouldn't mind having a smidge more control over my sound/vol. to hear pitch definition so I'm not left imagining/guessing too much in those clutch moments. Acoustic Image the way to go then?

I can’t recommend anything as I don’t play Upright. But I have liked what I have heard from Acoustic Image and apparently very well made.

The SWR California Blonde is a good option. It is a 2 channel amp for acoustic instruments but because it was modified from an SWR bass amp, it plays electric bass very well. 120 watts with internal speaker & adjustable tweeter - 170 watts with an extension speaker. I might be tempted to sell mine - I also have a Carvin AG100D which actually fits into my tiny car boot, but with my medical issues, I'm not sure if I need two amps.
Epiphone Riviera P93 & EJ200CE, Hagstrom Viking Bass, Doubleneck bass/guitar.
Rivera Clubster 45, Carvin AG100D, Ashton BSK158.
