What about a little bit of polished stainless steel sheet. Kind of thinking like the the control plate on teles but smaller with the jack in the middle.

Yep I’m sure that would look fine
But not something I can fabricate at home very easily

I'm metal worker and work with stainless a lot. Happy to help.

Jokes about aircraft aside, I have a number of car chassis fabrication work I'm hoping to get started on in the future. We are waiting to find out where we move and settle over the next year and once we do I'll be building a chassis jig.

Aiming to Start with a model T (tall T) then model A varient (coule or tudor sedan pref) and maybe beyond depending....the Lvvta Manual is a little daunting for scratch built cars.

Thought I'd drop the quote as it's always cool looking at other peoples projects
