hooha...anyone keen to offer links to how they do this please.
remember I'm Vegan so no entrails reading please.
I like the "Bass Book" by Tony Bacon but currently on good old TM there is another anomaly...probably the third one in 6 weeks.
any takers?

My mother's maiden name is Bass, and Dad used to date her before they were married.
He had a PA Vauxhall, big sideburns and some beer in the back. I think that helped with the dating.

My first car was a 1960 PA Vauxhall.
I have drunk Bass beer.
I do play bass.
I'm a basic, no frills person...

theres the basics - like wheres the serial number? on the Hstock, the neck plate? theres a pre and post 77 milesstone, or is it esp tasty lil number where you pull of the neck and read the stamp on the inner heel of the neck? - those moments should be done in the privacy of a Guitargeeks den

It didn't strike me as dodgy
just the purchase date versus the serial number is interesting.
