Listening through Ten East's album 'Extraterrestial Highway'. Really good stoner rock, just a whole album of jamming, pretty much. They're a Palm Desert Scene band, if that helps any.

Goodnight Moon reminds me of Nick Cave for some reason...

Re: What are you loving right now?
A couple of weeks ago I stumbled on this
Rewiring Genesis
(A Tribute to The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway)
by Nick D'Virgilio
I was going through a bit of a vintage Genesis phase bought on by dragging out an old CD to re-encode for my iPod and I thought I'd give this a listen to when I stumbled across it.
I've been listening to it a lot while I've been working and thought it was worth posting in here. Really enjoying it. It's still very recognisably The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway but fresh enough not to make me want to rush back and play "The Real Thing"
here's a couple of youtube clips that are good but the actual studio CD is great

Never seen Genesis live, but funnily enough I was enjoying The Cage on a Phil Collins era recording when I went on a trawl for the original version and hence stumbled onto this stuff.Hot_Grits wrote:whoa, takes me back to seeing Phil-era Genesis performing the cage at Western Springs...sty wrote:A couple of weeks ago I stumbled on this

Hendrix - Valley of Neptune.. Only gave it a small listen. Its one for the hardcore due to quality but the free style jamming on Redhouse is inspired. Looking forward to giving it a good listening.

Re: What are you loving right now?
Sonic Youth ... had never listened to them prior to 2 months ago, but they're one of those bands whose name keeps popping up in association with so many of my favorite bands that I got my hands on a few albums and have had them rotating endlessly in the car ever since. 2 months of nothing but Sonic Youth. Loving it.
Favorite albums - probably daydream nation and goo. I havent bothered to look at a track listing and learn any track names yet.
And good call Jenesis ... my personal favorite album of all time right there -
