Possibly. As much as I'd love that I doubt I need it. I'm definitely tempted to put a blue or gold in it though.slowfingers wrote:External Blue?benderissimo wrote:..... I wish it could manage a little bit more clean volume, ....Conway wrote:Are you happy with the AC4HW, Ben? (Still on my GAS list).

I posted an idiots guide to grounding thinking you'd be able to read it. Clearly not else you'd have figured out that you have ground loops in guitars, which was my point. Discuss by PM if you have further comprehension issues. Not really such a thing as a ground loop in a guitars wiring, there's a ground circuit so your volume and pickups work and one for the bridge, they all go to the ground of the guitar jack... if you're getting hum or buzz when you touch the strings it's more likely you have a short or you've wired the jack backwards
Ground loops only really exist between devices which are coming off different 240v circuits.
I would suggest you read your own signature.

Re: What are you loving right now?
Recently I've found myself playing this album a lot, two or three times a week.
Eric Bibb - Blues, Ballads and Work Songs
I absolutely love this, it's kind of what I hoped Keb Mo was going to be all about when I got his albums but he never quite was. I can't remember where I got this CD from, I'm sure I just grabbed it in a CD store somewhere when I spotted it, if the CD had come out earlier then I would have said Radar records in Christchurch but that was gone before the CD came out I think so I'm wondering if I grabbed it the weekend me and the Mrs spent in Wellington without the kids.
Anyway, finding it a really good CD to listen to while I'm deep in programming at work.

What are you loving right now?
I have a jam tomorrow night on bass, so I thought I'd better see if my bass gear still works, as its been a while. I normally reach for my Jazz Bass as first choice, but I grabbed the wrong case and popped my Precision out. What the hell, let's see if it still works...
OMFG: The combination of Precision and Genz-Benz is smegging awesome!! Totally hoopy!
The drummer and I have been bitching to our bassist about his tone (old Ibanez bass with some no-name Chinese bass amp thing - dreadful tone, really awful) and this just brings it all home why. I'm not normally a tone chaser, but bloody hell - this is what bass is meant to sound like in my world!
So loving it!

I met him at a gig he did in Hamilton. Fantastic singer, guitar player and man, he can tell a good story. I've met Keb Mo too. Tall! They both have a back catalogue worth checking out. Coincidently, they were both born in 1951 and neither looks their age! Anyway, I feel blessed to have experienced them live.sty wrote:Recently I've found myself playing this album a lot, two or three times a week.

DC10 2x12". Light grit through high gain without the "drawbacks" of a recto.Pastasauce wrote: What sort of Mesa did you get?
Essentially a silverface MV twin without the trem and with a more than entirely useable drive channel.

When did you get a Mesa? It's hard to keep track of you and all your gear. And I thought you were on a bass thing at the moment, not acoustic?Single coil wrote:My acoustic, and my Mesa, now that everything's dialled in.
