That sounds like something I might be interested in.

8) there's some cool tracks on that album alright.

I'm loving my Fender CVR - I just got it back from Clarry, and with a new set of TungSol 5881s it sounds glorious. I guess the sound had deteriorated so slowly over the last 10 years that I hadn't reall noticed.

I also got him to add a switch on the back to engage a Negative Feedback Loop, which takes the teeth out of the sound, and a little drop in volume.

It's a new voicing for the amp - more of a clean twinny sound. My old Metal Charger, which has also been dusted off and fed a fresh 9V, sounds much better thru this mod than it did thru the stock CVR circuit. I'm really re-digging this amp :D
this one's special, this is the ultimate, after this i'll never need another amp, EVER...Image

I've been listening to Marillion - Misplaced Childhood a lot recently.

I've been listening to the original album on CD but also the more recent Fish - Return to Childhood CD which was recorded live in Amsterdam in 2005 I think (and I've been watching the DVD as well but audio wise it's identical to the CD)

Just such a fantastic album once you start to play it it's hard to stop listening and switch to something else.

I'm giving serious thought to getting my Hi-Fi set up again (been having a massive move around of the office) and actually digging out the original Vinyl to play it how I used to listen to it, which entails having to get up half way through and actually turn the record over and start "Side 2"

I would completely forget to do that, and then realise I'd been sitting in silence for half an hour.

Greg Howe - Extraction 8)

had it for a while, didnt give it much of a listen until recently, really prog rock fusion with Victor Wooten on bass 8) pretty sick and slick. as a result I have been listening to Bella Fleck & the Flecktones a little also and an album with Victor Wooten and Scott Henderson which is interesting.

Have you heard that Greg Howe and Richie Kotzen album?

I can't really get into it, a bit lacking in melody for my taste but of course overflowing with shreddy prog magnificence.

Nah, a couple of tracks but not all of it been meaning to though.

One thing that blew me away recently was Kotzens solo on his track 'she' off one of his older albums. The track is pretty much soft 90's rock/ soul as Ritchie did well but the solo comes in soo soo nice. Worth checking.

Never heard it! :o Have his rock chops on .avi somewhere though (prob on my broken HD)

Hes easily in my top5 guitarists. I have into the black and motherheads family reunion. Not exactly shred albums but good all the same from a musical standpoint.
