How does it last 20 minutes? Are we talking about the same song?

And seeing as almost everybody's suggesting albums that have nothing to do with the OP, I'll add that I'm quite fond of On The Beach.

Even if it sounds nothing like the Dead Man OST.

Thanks Daza. I'd never have thought of that.

OT: Live Rust and Mirrorball seem to fit the bill nicely.

Ha Ha just having a laugh mate, never done that to anyone before, so maybe that makes you my first time? So back to your OP, are you refering to Neil's early stuff or later stuff (which I have no idea about  ) I had his album Harvest on US vinyl mint to sold it when I was going through a phase of selling old school music and buying 'new" school music on vinyl, like the Foo's...sorry I digress

Well if you're going to press the point...

I don't think there is any - all my Neil Young is (more or less) all acoustic or all electric and more song like than atmospheric. I don't have everything though.

It's all good- that was more directed at Daza's question about what era I was looking for.

What I really like about the Dead Man score is that it's so raw and evocative. The electric guitar parts are filthy and flawed and the acoustic parts add a really nice dynamic.

I thought you were talking about Like a Hurricane, which makes me angry listening to it I dislike it that much. I do really like Cinnamon Girl though.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

I'd actually blocked 'like a hurricane' from my memory, they can't have played it on 'the sound' lately. To be fair I have no idea how long that song is, as far as I know its less than 30 seconds as thats how long I can stand before switching to Mai FM or George FM or whatever random station my radio tunes itself too after I stab angrily at the buttons.
