Successful band then?

Not being a 13 year old child, I no longer get how names chosen purely for offensiveness are anything other than childish.
Ooh good band name maybe... Childish Child

I might form a band called The Olds and release an album The Kids Are All Wrong

Seriously though, I thought The Adults was a pretty nicely timed band name.

That name really made me laugh, but they're a great band. And German, which explains a lot (contrary to popular generalisations, the Germans have an excellent sense of humour, it's just highly intelligent and so dry you often don't even spot that you've just been completely ridiculed).
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Came across a story once where a Japanese band was trying to figure out a name, once. One guy came up with (in English) "Horse Fucker Gigantic". Then they learnt what it translated to.

Not best ever but some goodies spring to mind...

God is an Astronaut - clever, I just watched Prometheus though.

...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead - quirky pretensious and I love the "but they're not even Br00tz?!?!" confusion when finding out they're an indie rock n roll band.

I want to call the heavy rock band I play in Iron Badger.

However, based on the Free Beer idea, the drummer wants to call it Ten Dollar Blow Job.

Two band names that I thought of before I noticed they'd been taken: Whitechapel; the suburb/area in London, where Jack the Ripper carved his meat - very appropriate for a metal band. The other is Spiral Architect - it's a Black Sabbath song. I like that name - it makes me think of spiders.
