I dunno, VR album #1 had one or two really good high points imo - Slither and Fall to Pieces among the ones I'd still rate. Libertad, yuck, what a mess.
That track with "Fergie" confused the hell out of me. My mind immediately goes to the Duchess of York -- I was trying to mentally work out how some longhaired rocker conned royalty into singing for him.
Until someone at work a few days later filled me in that the singer from the Black Eyed Peas is called Fergie. I hate that band, have ever since that track "Dont Funk With My Heart" (any track with that many god-awful puns goes on my shitlist, let alone when the radio thrashes the living shit out of it), so had no idea until I was told.
That said, she sounds like a damn good singer.

Sure as hell cant recall any Snakepit or Velvet Revolver Song ever getting stuck in my head
1st snakepit album is not bad actually...some horrid tracks but i've certainly preferred snakepit #1 over his current solo album, or the two VR albums.
My missus gave it to me this morning for my bday. Have been cranking it up all day.
The opening track with Ian Astbury is awesome. I'm really digging Back to Cali with Myles Kennedy. It's a real shame he couldn't convince Dave Grohl to lay down some vocals though. Ozzy is...Ozzy. Chris Cornell sounds a bit weak to me, but then I guess I can't expect every song to sound as good as Burden In My Hand. Lemmy is just great. Surprisingly Kid Rock wasn't so bad.
It's not often that I like so many songs off the bat. Hopefully this sells well. Can't help but wonder how good Axl would have sounded on some of these tracks, but that's just how it goes. Pretty solid album. Go get it from The Warehouse unless you want to pay an extra $10 buying it elsewhere.

Happy birthday bro.
I really like at least about half of the songs, a LOT. You're right, Cornell sounds a bit weak in the chorus of Promise, but it's still pretty cool listening. I'm meh about Lemmy's track but I've never really liked him anyway.
The last couple of songs on the album are not so cool for me.
