Yep, I often sleep at work in Auckland as well. And I'm also much more effective when I'm sleeping.*UNIQUE* wrote:Sleep...at home the kids keep me awake during the night. When I work in Auckland, it's bliss. It's the singularly most important thing to my effectiveness at work.

I think mine needs minimum one or two new frets... Complete refret would be ideal though. Wanting less brittle pickups too but they can wait.OpenCoil wrote:I'm also loving my '60s Tele again, and probably won't relist it again once the TradeMe auction finishes. Turns out I just needed to play it a heap to get used to it again, though I think I'd eventually like to have the fingerboard re-radiused flatter and refretted with medium jumbos.Single coil wrote:My tele, now that I've set it up again

I really like the pickups. I've sometimes thought about changing, but I'd want another '60s-ish set, like Antiquity IIs, to maintain that point of difference, and I just don't think it'd sound appreciably better/different.

Re: What are you loving right now?
There is this one on Tm that has the perfect set up pick-up wise and love the colour too, Butterscotch Blonde the pups are Nocaster in bridge and twisted tele in the neck, great combo me want....one day, me just play it for now, sucks putting it away in its case every night think I may pick it up more if on stand?OpenCoil wrote:I really like the pickups. Re: What are you loving right now?
I'm working on something with a maple neck at the moment actually... I've been playing the '60s Tele heaps lately and have bonded with it again, that's my point.
There are a couple of '52RIs on TradeMe at the moment. Personally, I prefer the one in ChCh. It's slightly cheaper and also newer, which means a few of the details are more faithful to original '52 specs.

I have one on my TM wishlist, will check out which one it is. Is your Project a Partscaster?OpenCoil wrote:I'm working on something with a maple neck at the moment actually... I've been playing the '60s Tele heaps lately and have bonded with it again, that's my point.

Re: What are you loving right now?
A Partscaster of sorts, yes.
Personally, I loathe the butterscotch finish. Thankfully, Fender have remedied it somewhat with the new models released recently. It's much more of a Nocaster-esque, paler blonde, as the original finish would have been. The neck doesn't appear so gaudy on the new models either.
Ashtray covers look cool, but are pretty impractical for playing.

I liked it apart from the bit that had John Mayer in it.TBB Flamey wrote:This song

Re: What are you loving right now?
Finally got the new VH album a couple of weeks ago and am loving this one. I know its a reheated left over from the Gene Simmons demo but it's vintage Eddie that sounds fresh at the same time.

Been hearing it on The Rock, but never quite caught the name. Found it on google by typing in some of the lyrics I remember.
I like it when black dudes bypass the RnB/Rap and play rock music. They usually always do a decent job of it.
